LECTURES
Hearst Mansion:
Here we were tasked to edit Shazam into the Hearst Mansion, here is the step by step:
Firstly we need to open Shazam's picture file. In order to cut Shazam and move him to the Hearst mansion, we have to use the Quick Selection Tool to subtract the background.
and then we're gonna add a layer mask and then apply a clipping mask
After that, we are going to drag and drop Shazam to Hearst Mansion and resize and reposition it.
Afterward, we have to adjust the color correction (Image > Adjustments)
Next, we match the image quality by adding a noise filter to Shazam.
Create Shadow for Shazam, firstly create a new layer (and rename it as shadow), use brush tool, and draw aback shadow on the background of Shazam's layer
Apply Gaussian Blur effect on the shadow layer and reduce the opacity to 66% opacity.
Create a new layer for Shazam's reflection, use the polygonal lasso tool and then duplicate the Shazam's layer and rename it as reflection.
Adjust the color correction for reflection layer with hue/saturation (Image > Adjustment)
Apply ripple filter to Shazam's reflection layer
Recoloring:
Firstly we have to create a new layer in the Panel layer: rename it.
Next, select the brush tool and adjust the size and hardness.
Tool S, select foreground color, and then select skin color.
Afterward, color the face. Next, we adjust the size and hardness while coloring the edge.
For correction, we can use the eraser tool, size and hardness can be adjusted.
Apply blending mode, soft light, or overlay.
Repeat steps above for the hair, eyes, shirt, and lips.
Next, we're gonna create a new layer for the background and then rename it. Fill in the color with edit > fill > contents (color), select color, and shut off visibility.
Add all selections from all layers, face, hair, eyes, shirt, lips, and then apply the selection to the background layer mask.
Use the brush tool to finalize the layer mask and then invert the background layer mask. Apply blending mode: overlay

INSTRUCTION
My Reflection:
We were instructed to edit our own picture into the Hearst Mansion using Shazam's exercise technique.
Here is the picture of myself that I took at home.
I then cut my own picture and then placed it in the Hearst Mansion using the same method and this is my end result.
Recoloring:
We have been given a photo from Mr. Martin and we were tasked to recolor the picture. I tried to do the task by following the lecture given. Here is the color that I used for each element:
As for the background I used the color yellow-ish and turned down the opacity as well.
For the hair, I used the color brown and reduced the opacity to 68%.
As for the eyes, I used the color green and reduced the opacity to 53%.
As for the lips, I used the colors pink-red and reduced the opacity to 87%.
And lastly, for the shirt, I used the color orange-yellow and reduced the opacity to 64%.
For the recoloring, here are the colors I used:
For the skin, I used the skin color from the picture instructed.
For the clothing, I used the color red, which appeared to be pink in her clothes because I think it looks good on her.
And here are the colors that I used for her lips, eyes and her earrings.
Here is the end result:
Mr. Martin said that the goal of these exercise was to make them look real not unreal. We also need to pay attention to the positioning in heart mansion in order to make a real like picture and we also need to pay attention to the coloring for the recoloring.
