What is a Critical Review?
A critical review is much more than a simple summary; it is an analysis and evaluation of a book, article, or other medium. Writing a good critical review requires that you understand the material, and that you know how to analyze and evaluate that material using appropriate criteria.
A critical review of a journal article evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of an article's ideas and content. It provides description, analysis and interpretation that allow readers to assess the article's value.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this task we were assigned to look for 5 articles related to our topic. It was hard for me to find articles since my topic is no longer specific. I had to focus on empathy, mobile application and elderly. There were no articles that correlates the three of them, only either two.
In the end I chose to just focus on empathy and leave the elderly. The reason for this is because empathy is still the main focus and when I look for articles talking about elderly and mobile application, none of them correlates with empathy.
Here is my critical review:
FEEDBACK
Week 7:
For this week, Ms. Hayati told me that it is okay to use the article that has no methodology as it has potential in helping me in my further research as well
REFLECTION
For this week, I managed to find a few articles and decided on which articles I’m going to use. I only started with the introduction and summary for this week. I am trying my best to finish assignment 2. I managed to finish the whole 5 reviews as well as the introduction, summary and conclusion. Personally I feel like this task was so difficult to do and I stressed out a lot in the process of doing it. However, after writing a few reviews I managed to get the hang of it.
