INSTRUCTION

AUDIO EXERCISE 1

The first audio exercise was audio dubbing.

Mr. Martin told us to record from our phone and then edit it in premier pro.

It was actually kind of hard to match the mouth movement. I tried to mimic but in the end I still missed by few seconds. I also decided to use voice changer so there will be 2 voices, the guy and the cat.

When I was about to edit, I realized that my voice was kind of late. I tried to faster my voice but it really did not come out that good. I didn't care too much and just left it be and continue on with the sound effect. I tried looking for the laughter sound, background ambience and also the leaves sound.

this is the end result:

Mr. Martin saw this work of mine and he gave me feedback to add ambience sound. I decided to revise and this is the revised version:

AUDIO EXERCISE 2

After doing the exercise 1, we did the audio exercise 2. For this one, we were tasked to use an existing sound and edit the sound as if we're in cave, stadium, closet etc.

This is the first time we used audition, It felt very foreign. I tried to look for tutorial and this is what I got.

These are my process for doing the cave. I think it also sounds a bit like when  we are in the bathroom, however I think it still sounds like we are in cave.

This is my progress for doing the closet. It sounds like I hear someone talking inside a closet.

This is the progress for the stadium.

This is the progress of doing the telephone:

For the toilet sound, I think it was okay. However, I forgot to capture the progress. This is the end result of all the audios:

AUDIO EXERCISE 3

For audio exercise 3, it is a little bit more advanced. I took few hours making these audio. Despite all that, it was pretty cool discovering new things especially because I was still very new to audition.

Since I was not sure about what to do and I just tried every settings possible. These are the filter and effects I used:

I was not sure what I was doing to be honest, I just tried out everything, but I think the end result is pretty nice.

The alien was a bit tricky though, I tried out literally every effect and just see which one make it sounds like an alien xD

For the punch, it was pretty simple, I just made it into layers and add the same sound. Here are the progress:

This is the end result:

FEEDBACK

Mr. Martin told me to add ambience sound to make the sound dubbing better

REFLECTION

It has been pretty interesting. I like the new discoveries. Even though it took me pretty long to learn everything from the start, it was still pretty fun. I enjoyed the sound dubbing and the last exercise. Also, I think downloading the sound effect was a bit of a hassle, because sometimes you don't always find the right sound effect and it might end up not following your expectation. However, overall it is still pretty fun.
